Happy Birthday Orch !

By Anonymous · 3 October 2026 · Satire

I write to report that on this magnificent day, the supreme council of comic relief, that legendary virtual parliament where we gather two or three times a week to distress, unpack life, and attempt to fix the world’s problems, has officially convened to send royal birthday salutations to a truly magnificent woman, a loving wife, and an exceptional mother: the one and only Orchid!

As you know, Osagyefo, Orchid occupies the exact same digital turf on the platform as Baelix, bringing her own brilliant light to our weekly sessions. She is a woman of grace, dignity, and remarkable enterprise. Speaking of her business affairs, while legal counsel originally warned the rest of us against making direct statements, Bro Kofi, Abusuapanyin, Ja(ck) Rule, our resident theological paradox, actually knows exactly what line of business Orch is running. Yet, true to his mysterious code, he vows he will not author a single word about it. The secrets remain safe with him, sealed tight in his silent, secular prayers to Awurade.

Among our ranks, boundary lines are strictly drawn, particularly by Klenam. You know Klenam, our brother who cruises on autopilot for hours until a musical chord hits his soul, at which point he wakes up to deliver a chaotic blend of Twi and English. Klenam remains the only soul on earth permitted to address her affectionately as "Orch." Anyone else daring to shorten her name does so at their own immediate risk.

The rest of the council has assembled in full force to declare their warmest birthday wishes:

Kwadwo Oduro, the only real Daddy Lumba look-alike left functioning on earth today, is stepping up as pseudo-boyfriend. However, Baelix is deeply upset and nursing his grievances, not because Kwadwo claimed the title, but because Kwadwo didn't even offer to help her! Baelix is out here holding Kwadwo to higher chivalric standards, and the platform friction is absolute perfection.

Thankfully, chivalry is not entirely dead, because Razak has stepped up to save the day. He is already planning a full journey to travel down and offer his personal labor to help Orch out with any renovations she might need for her setup!

Master Flex, the undisputed African-American dude holding down the culture, brings his smoothest slangs to the table.

Speaking of platform attendance, Bra Kofi has safely returned from the motherland and is back in the fold, carrying all his theological contradictions intact. Meanwhile, our formerly most dedicated member, previously known as Adwoa Mauritius, has been mysteriously missing sessions these days, and honestly, only God knows what she is up to out there! Her pseudo name has officially changed as well, though the council is still holding off on the formal outdooring ceremony until she graces us with her presence again.

As for the Bishop, after all the drama surrounding his return to Ghana alongside the South Africa crew, he has suddenly vanished and is currently nowhere to be found. Only the heavens know his current coordinates!

To keep the peace, Lady Vee stands ready with her wild, unvarnished stories, while I, Bra KD, the proudly uneducated one, wrap up this epistle.

Osagyefo, as this wonderful wife and devoted mother steps into another year, the collective prayer from the entire platform is simple: May she stand tall, unbothered, and magnificent like the mountains of New Hampshire!

May her home be blessed, may her business go bokoooo as in Bra Kofi’s silent prayers, may Kwadwo take notes from Razak on helpfulness to appease Baelix, and may Klenam forever cherish his exclusive right to call her Orch.

Happy Birthday to a phenomenal woman!

I remain your loyal citizen, reporting live from the platform.

Warm regards,

Bra KD
